October 2 – AT SEA - PART 2

our set up in the far corner
where we are

The Wi-Fi has been more temperamental than usual over the last day or so...hence the part 2.

This morning is the second last time we’re gaining an hour over night. It’s been wild, gaining 5 hours for the past 4 days. I’ve always said, travelling west is far better than east, but WOW, I can’t imagine losing 5 hours in 4 days!

Chris and I were going to spend the pre-BINGO part of our morning in the ship’s semi-outdoor heated pool deck area. When we got there, the actual pool area was quite comfortable. Now…comfortable is relative. It was 'comfortable' to sit under a covering, fully clothed.

where the typhoon is

We had a juice from the to-order juice bar…today we had spinach, pineapple, and celery. I always like a nub of ginger, but they were out today. Then we had a very light breakfast where we were sitting at the pool. This included the amazing Regent bacon.

My routine has been to go to the gym while Chris attempts to win at BINGO. Today was just too lovely at the pool. A bit of alone time reading, drinking tea, then a champagne was lovely. A couple of times the ship sailed through some torrential rains, but I was under cover, and it wasn’t cold.

We’re right between Japanese land and a typhoon. We don’t really feel much different than usual ocean motion, but it’s interesting to think about.
