Captain's welcome |

Another uneventful day at sea. The weather was
ok, to be out on our deck with a robe and a blanket, but not so much for up at
the pool. That suits me just fine. As I’ve mentioned maybe once or twice, I’m
not a heat lover. Outside with a robe on is perfect to me.
I had another DIY breakfast and spent the rest of the morning chilling on the deck.
We had every intention of heading up to Cool by
the Pool, but room service lunch and an old James Bond (to basically fall to sleep to) sounded a bit more enticing.
It wasn’t hot enough to go to the pool without a jacket, so that’s what we call
forcing it. We definitely were forcing it on the deck, but there are different
rules for our own deck.
kudu!! |
There are some always available room service items, but others are only occasionally – my favourite Bûche de chèvre (panko crusted goat cheese) was on the lunch menu again today, so that I really couldn’t pass up.
We also went to the Captain’s Welcome
party...for the caviar. And then dinner was another South African antelope…kudu
– this time it’s most comparable to beef.
Goat cheese was the highlight
of the day!

Your safari looked absolutely amazing! What an experience you and Chris had, does it already feel surreal now that you are back in the boat??
