Mexican lunch

Nothing was on our schedule today, so we were in no rush to get out of the room. We spent the morning planning activities for the next few days in Miami.

It was super windy in the morning, but no rain. By the time we arrived at Espanola Way for lunch there were sprinkles and then showers. Espanola Way is a neat pedestrian block with restaurants and bars.

We found a Mexican place with outdoor space under awnings. We were 95% sheltered. It wasn’t at all cold.

The rest of the afternoon was spent napping, blogging, and reading.

After the hotel’s evening wine hour, we ventured out for dinner.

We found an Italian place that we mostly filled with people speaking Italian! This was a surprise.

BTW…when we checked in our safe didn’t work. I thought it needed to be reset or have a battery change…nope, a worker came with a drill and unscrewed it and screwed another one in. Not that any random person could do that easily, but I thought it would be a bit more high-tech than that.
