December 15 - AT SEA, was supposed to be Gustavia, St. Barts

Weather – 27º, less windy, but still windy

Steps – 4,256

As I said yesterday, Mother Nature didn’t smooth the waters for us to get to St Bart’s yet again. I suppose life isn’t too bad when we can say we missed St. Bart’s…twice. Of course, we’re disappointed-ish, saw it coming and we’re over it – I’m always up for a sea day, even if it is a third sea day in a row.

Today the winds died down a bit, so we spent the morning at the pool.

Included laundry has got to be one of the best perks Regent offers. Until
recently, included laundry was a perk for repeat guests having sailed for 200 days (of something like that.) We achieved that status just before Covid…yipee! There have always been self-serve launderettes on board Regent, which we’re discovering few other lines have even if you have to pay. Anyway…about 2 years ago Regent added laundry to its ‘all inclusive’ inclusions.

Speaking of # of days sailed…today marks our 296th day with Regent. Status has never meant a lot on this line due to its ‘all inclusive’ model. Nonetheless…it’s interesting to think about how many days we’ve been on a Regent boat.

There is little to report for the rest of the day. We opt not to see the juggler from 2 days ago and retire early…tomorrow will be the first day in a long time we have to wake up with an alarm.

Chris tried to start a food fight in the dining room with his salt twist…he loves those salt twists, so I’m not sure what he was thinking. Photo gave me an excuse to take a pic of my shoes!
